iPod Nano Troubleshooting

If you’re having problems with your ipod Nano, there are steps you can take. Make sure your Ipod is charged. Move the Hold switch on and then off. Hold down and press the Select (or Center button) and the Menu button at the same time.

When you hold down the buttons, the Apple menu should appear within approximately 10 seconds. If the logo doesn’t appear, repeat this procedure.

Set the iPod down on something flat and to make sure that the Center button isn’t touching any portion of the wheel you click on. If it still won’t work, plug it into an adaptor to charge it to full power.

You can also try plugging into a different USB port. When you’ve done that, restart your computer. Make sure that all software is updated.

If your software needs updating and you’re running Windows, click on Tools, and select Windows Update for Internet Explorer. If you’re running a Mac and using Mac Os software, go to the Apple menu, and click on Software Update. Your iPod may not run as efficiently as it should if you aren’t using the latest software.

If you need to reinstall your software, you should download the newest version of iTunes. Open it and connect the iPod to your computer. In the menu, select iPod.

Then, you need click on the item that checks for updates. This is found under the Summary tab. You can find out if anything needs to be updated. Updates will be done for you. If you’re still having issues, you can try uninstalling iTunes altogether, and reinstalling.

When you have to restore, you should make sure that all saved files are backed up on disc, because you’ll lose everything otherwise. If you store all of your files in the iTunes library, the files can be reloaded back onto your iPod once you’ve restored. If you need help restoring your iPod, you should first be certain you’ve reinstalled the newest version of iTunes.

Connect the system to your computer. Once it’s connected, if it still doesn’t show as being connected to your computer, you might have to change your iPod setting to disk mode in order to finish the restoration. Select iPod from the menu and click the Restore button.

Different options are available for Windows systems and Mac OS. You may restore with the same software, restore with a newer version, or restore and update your software. A progress bar will show how far the restoration has gone.

After its restored, the iTunes Setup Assistant will show up and ask what your preferences are, as if you’re performing the actions for the first time.

I recently purchased an iPod nano 6th generation.
I am just listening to the music for the first time.

It stops after a few seconds to 1 min into every song I play and doesn’t come back on??

My nano all of the sudden will not play through the aux in my car. I hear it faintly, but no bass or anything. It sounds like it is playing through the device only. I made sure everything was plugged in and the volume was all the way up. Help!
